Ever been to Quiz and Chips evening? Very enjoyable, but so passé! The social event de nos jours has to be the Sixth Form v. Staff French Verb and Chips event that will take place on Friday 23 April at 1.10 pm. Yes, it will be a veritable Battle of the Titans.

The sixth form students are manfully learning their verbs for their exams and have challenged the French-speaking members of staff to a verb competition. Naturally, actual French teachers are not allowed to compete – they will be too busy dreaming up the Quiz!

To soften the blow of conjugating dozens of verbs at lunch-time, we will be eating fish and chips – the ultimate brain food.

Competition WILL be fierce. The staff members of Hellesdon High are well-known for their formidable intellects. The Sixth Form students are terrifyingly clever. Who will prevail? Watch this space…
