YEAR 7

Students in Key Stage 3 are following a dynamic and engaging ICT course. The programme of study encompasses the key concepts and processes published by the QCA National Curriculum 2008, providing differentiated learning opportunities for all pupils.

Year 7 pupils work through a number of units. In the first unit, pupils create a multimedia presentation using text, images and sound; the second unit requires pupils to use a variety of search mechanisms to explore the potential of ICT-based information sources; in the third unit pupils prepare a printed leaflet and in the forth unit pupils explore simple spreadsheet models.

Follow the links to see examples of outstanding work... Year 7's have finished their first unit of work - "Go Wild" using multimedia. Pupils were required to create a PowerPoint presentation to inform year 5 pupils about an endangered animal of their choice. This collection of work by Louis Fulcher achieved a level 5 :)
